This is specifically about the Black World. There, Ethnic Nations are the basic building blocks, and an Ethnic Nation can then be in political Union with other Ethnic Nations to form a country. For instance, Nigeria is a multinational country in that many Ethnic Nations are put together in that Union. The same way Nigeria is, is the same way that other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa are. The Black World has other Nations outside of Africa such as Black America Nation, Black Brazil Nation, Black Canada Nation, Jamaica Nation, Barbados Nation etc. It is these that are referred to in this discussion as NATIONS, not the entity referred to as “country”.
Another term that needs to be defined is “Sovereignty”. Sovereignty is the supreme authority that an Ethnic Nation has over its ancestral land. Sovereignty is an inalienable right that can never be lost except the people are wiped out or physically removed from their ancestral land. But, Sovereignty can be suppressed by another power, by a colonizer. Turning to our special Brethren of the New World (Americas and the Caribbean) who are the Descendants of Enslaved Africans they are a most unique type of Nations because the indigenous peoples of the lands where they find themselves were either exterminated or permanently dispossessed by the non-indigenous European settlers who took over their lands and resources. So today, the also non-indigenous Black Nations of the New World have as much right to exercise their Sovereignty as the Whites there do – but we know that is not happening. It is also not happening in Black Africa, hence a need for discussions such as this one: Why is no Black Nation on earth exercising its Sovereignty? The answer is that although the countries where these Ethnic Nations are part of have had “Independence”, they have not obtained their Freedom to make choices for their ancestral lands, its valuable natural resources, and its rate of development. That is because the European colonizer is still interfering but remotely, through the (corrupt) leaders at all levels including Traditional Rulers. In the New World it is the former European enslaver who is still interfering, and also denying the Black Nations Reparations for the Slavery Era which obviously they need to get for Equity and Justice to be seen to happen.
In the case of Africa, even though the media and the benefiting elite and middle class like to call what is there “Democracy”, the truth is most often that an all-powerful government imposes its will upon the people. And that will is also often guided by Europe. It was seen more recently in the way that France and Europe ordered West African countries to attack Niger Republic because of a coup there. The bottom line is that indigenous Ethnic Nations of Black Africa are not exercising their inalienable right of Sovereignty. If we take Nigeria as an example: it operates a 1999 Constitution that is a known Forgery, and which hijacks the Sovereignty and Self-Determination of Ethnic Nations. Although the NINAS Movement has done the ongoing work to Decommission that Fraudulent 1999 Constitution, not enough of the peoples are yet aware that all they need to do any day is to exercise their right of Sovereignty in an ORDERLY WAY, guided by the NINAS Transitioning Template for Constitutional Renegotiation. That is a lack of Sovereignty Consciousness and this sad situation is also found among those in the Diaspora.
The reasons are quite plain: Some call it the Two Cs. It is too much Corruption, and too much Church (Note, I said Church, not God. These are two different things). High levels of Corruption have become normalized by the elite and middle class who then force it through all of society. As for the Church, it is both the Church Owners (many are mega rich) and Church Leaders who keep the people dull by leading them to “praaaay” when instead analysis and action are needed.
We should conscientize our people into higher levels of consciousness including Sovereignty Consciousness. Thus, less emotionalism, less superstition-religiousity, and more evidence-based, informed, scientific and rational approaches to issues including to problem-identification and problem-solving.
Here's a comment that I received on another platform regarding this article. I will copy it here as I found it informative, and I think you will too:
"Sovereignty never departs from Indigenous Peoples who are in their Ancestral Space. Except in cases of complete dislodgment, the Invader can only establish Suzerainty that suppresses the Sovereignty. (The Fulani Conquest Agenda targets such dislodgment of Indigenous Peoples).
During Colonial Occupation of Nigeria, Britain exercised Suzerainty of over Nigeria.
The Caliphate that stepped into the shoes of Britain in 1960 and its 1967 Allies, operating together as the “Federation of Nigeria” even whilst imposing Unitary Structures, are essentially the Suzerainty currently suppressing the Sovereignty of the indigenous Peoples of Nigeria who are now being organized by/as NINAS to Re-assert and therefore Recover their Hijacked and Suppressed Sovereignty."
